Basic Pistol Shooting Course
**NRA Certified Course**The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation This is a traditional, instructor-led only course gives you direct, beginning to end, training from an NRA-certified instructor. Course topics include: gun safety rules; proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols; ammunition knowledge and selection; pistol selection and storage; shooting fundamentals; pistol inspection and maintenance; marksmanship and shooting range safety. (Additionally, students will complete live, hands on firearm training, at the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Participants will also be afforded the opportunity to receive a nationally standardized shooting qualification.) Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and the NRA Certified Instructor. Upon completion of this course, students qualify for a CCW in the State of Virginia, and for the HQL (certificate to purchase a firearm) in the State of Maryland.

Basic Rifle Shooting Course
**NRA Certified Course**The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for safe use of a rifle in target shooting. This course is (a minimum of) 14 hours long. It includes classroom instruction and hands-on range time teaching the fundamentals of rifle shooting. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; rifle cleaning and receive continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Booklet. Additionally, students will take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate.

Basic Shotgun Shooting Course
**NRA Certified Course**The NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target. This course is (a minimum of) eight-hours long and includes classroom instruction and hands-on range time teaching how to shoot moving targets utilizing shotguns. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; shotgun cleaning; and will receive continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Booklet. Additionally, students will take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate.

NRA Basic CCW Shooting Course
**NRA Certified Course**The NRA Basics of CCW Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. CCW provides beginning to end direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor and will be conducted in a traditional classroom setting and a practical, hands-on shooting range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller instructional blocks. Course length is determined by the Instructor, (dependent on) State requirements for a CCW permit. Course topics include: Firearm Safety (Mandatory); Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense; Basic Defensive Pistol Skills; Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation; Developing a Defensive Mindset; Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment; Firearm Cleaning; Sport Shooting and Training Activities. Additionally, students will be afforded the opportunity to complete live fire training while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor and receive a nationally standardized shooting qualification. Students will receive reference books, take an NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and the NRA Certified Instructor.

None. Our basic course is designed to take the fundamentals of shooting and apply it to any skill-level of student. We can also give private lessons to help you develop the skills you need to be successful and get the most out of the more advanced courses we offer.
No. We provide you with some helpful shopping knowledge before you purchase, and will provide firearms during the live-fire session. We do encourage you to bring your own firearm and ammunition if you have it.
Yes we do. Age restrictions depend on the course and the age of the child. We offer courses that don’t require firearms and others that allow the student the opportunity to shoot with a Certified Instructor on the range. Parents/guardians are welcomed to join us during any point of the course. Please contact us for more detailed requirements.
We use local ranges and nearby classroom space in order to offer our courses to a wider range of participants. We are located in Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania, Virginia.
Absolutely. In our Women's only class, we have students with all kinds of skills sets. No matter if you’ve never touched a gun or if you’d like to get your concealed carry license, this course is for you! This course is closed for just ladies.
Yes we do offer defensive training classes. Also, our Private Instruction Course can be configured to meet your defensive needs as well. Just tell us what you are looking for.
No. You don’t need to own a firearm in order to take any of our classes. We have a few options for you when you sign up. However, if you’d like to bring your own firearm, you may do so. Personalized firearms and ammo are subject to the rules and guidelines of the range.
